Why consider testosterone replacement?

If you’re reading this, chances are you already feel that something is off or out of balance. Testosterone plays a central role in male vitality, and as men age, levels naturally begin to decline. Over time, this decrease can lead to the symptoms commonly associated with low testosterone.

Testosterone levels typically start to fall around age 30, with a more noticeable decline occurring in the late 40s and beyond. Beyond normal aging, research suggests that average testosterone levels have been steadily declining across generations. Earlier studies showed much higher average levels in men compared to today, and values that were once considered uncommon in middle age are now frequently seen.

Because of this shift, many men experience symptoms long before testosterone levels fall outside today’s “normal” lab ranges. While aging itself can’t be stopped, identifying and treating low testosterone may significantly improve energy, strength, mood, and overall quality of life.

For men experiencing symptoms, a proper medical evaluation is the first step toward understanding whether testosterone deficiency may be contributing—and whether treatment is appropriate.

Why Choose Us

While many practitioners are legally able to prescribe hormone therapy, the quality of care and depth of expertise can vary significantly between clinics. When prescribed and monitored correctly, testosterone therapy can be used safely across a wide range of ages—from adulthood through later life.

At Mabry Medical, your care is provided by a physician. Some clinics rely primarily on nurse practitioners, and many patients are unaware of the differences in medical training. Physicians complete extensive medical education and clinical training, providing a broader and deeper foundation in diagnosis, physiology, and long-term hormone management. As a physician with a background in nursing, I understand these differences well and apply that knowledge to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based testosterone care.

Our goal is to provide safe, effective, and individualized treatment. We begin with a thorough review of your medical history and appropriate laboratory testing to ensure an accurate diagnosis. Once your results are available, we review them with you and, if indicated, initiate treatment. Typically, a three-month supply of medication is prescribed through the pharmacy of your choice.

Follow-up visits occur every three months, with laboratory monitoring at each visit. Once your hormone levels are stable, lab testing is often extended to every six months to maintain safety and effectiveness over time.
